Coming home from work last Saturday;
Which makes it about 4:50 pm. It was already dark at that time today as we came over the bridge. Which means Solstice is coming. Tomorrow, December 13th, is The Feast of St. Lucy. Martyrdom being the grisly affair that it is we will focus on the light filled aspect of the feast. And I may wear the silly hat meant for the day.
In Spinning news - there was a brief moment in time for about a minute and a half to turn some merino/silk into a short skein of this -
This stuff turned out to be very soft and cozy - don't know what it wants to be yet, besides more yarn. The subtle color variations speak for a "goes with everything" accessory of some ilk.
In other news, contracts finally signed and everything in place the exhibit of botanical illustrations that I've been placing around the tri-state area is moving to it's new home for most of '07. From January 27th through July 3rd "Backyard Invasion, Selected Botanical Works from The Guild of Natural Science Illustrators" will be playing with a dinosaur near you (if you're around Pittsburgh). The site visit to the gallery we'll be installed in was one of my reasons for being in 84, PA last August.
For now it's back to the drawing board.
